I’m Tobi. Introductions are not my strong suit. Can we just skip to the part where we feel like we’ve known each other for ages? Ok, If you insist. I am an alternative model, former hairdresser, and aspiring writer. I have a muscle connective tissue disorder called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS for short). I live in the midwest with my partner Kyle and our mini-schnauzer, Jake. We’re preparing to live on a school bus and travel full-time, so the midwest won’t be our home much longer. I love dark beer and Thai food. I read, but I write more. I practice witchcraft. I empathize with muppets. You can call me a hipster, but it doesn’t change the fact that I like listening to music on vinyl, typing poetry on a typewriter, taking polaroid portraits, and reading indie comic books. I’m terrible at math. I’m good at reading tarot. I make my own skincare products and idolize my grandmother. I drink coffee obsessively. I struggle with anxiety, depression, and PTSD, and I’m an avid believer in using creative pursuits as a form of therapy. I’m an Aquarius, an INFP, and a 3 on the Kinsey scale. I’m not afraid of talking about taboo topics. I believe personal progress comes from digging deep, and that’s rarely pretty. I’m here to write about all of it, and post some photos while I’m at it.
